The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is mainly because SRD of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office focused on service the area each day. The company stage developed for intervention encounters a significant inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to permit the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
